About me

I’m Laura Macy, a professional pianist performing at weddings, private events and commercial occasions across the UK.

I began playing the piano at the age of seven, completing my graded exams and studying music through to A Level. Although I later went on to pursue a degree in dance, music has remained a constant part of my life and career, and I’ve continued performing professionally ever since.

With a background in both music and performance, I approach events with a strong sense of atmosphere and timing, understanding how live music can support each moment of the day.

My first paid performance was at fourteen, playing for the residents of the care home where my grandma lived. That experience sparked a love for sharing music with others - something that still inspires my performances today.

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at a wide range of occasions, from weddings and celebrations to theatre productions and corporate events. I’ve also performed at venues including St George's Hall and Liverpool Empire Theatre.

Alongside live performances, I’ve worked as an accompanist at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and served as Musical Director for CODYS, experiences that have strengthened my professionalism, musical sensitivity and ability to adapt to each unique event.

Whether performing for a wedding ceremony, drinks reception or special event, my aim is always the same: to create a beautiful atmosphere and provide a reliable, seamless musical experience so you can relax and enjoy the moment.
