1. Booking and Contract Policies​

Booking Confirmation: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the event date. Full payment is due 10 days before the event.

Contract Agreement: A formal contract will be signed by both parties detailing services, fees, event timeline, and any specific requests or changes.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made up to 30 days before the event will incur a cancellation fee of £50.

Cancellations made within 7 days before the event are subject to full payment.

Rescheduling: If the event is rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, the deposit can be transferred to the new date. Rescheduling within 7 days of the event may incur additional fees.

2. Performance and Set-up Policies

Performance Duration: For every 1.5 hours performance time, the pianist is required to take a 10 minute break. Additional performance time over the agreed fee may incur extra charges.

Set-up Time: Pianist requires at least 15 minutes before the event to set up the equipment and sound check (if applicable).

Equipment Requirements:

The pianist will bring necessary instruments, such as a portable keyboard and amp (if needed).

If the client is providing a piano, it must be in good working condition, tuned, and positioned at the event space before the pianist arrives.

Sound/Audio Setup: If the event is in a significantly large venue, the client must arrange for a sound technician and equipment (microphones, amplifiers, etc.). The pianist will not be responsible for sound-related issues unless specifically hired for sound management.

3. Payment Policies

Fees: Performance fees are based on the type of event (e.g., wedding, corporate event, cocktail party) and the duration of performance. Any extra hours will incur a fee of £100 per hour.

Payment Method: Acceptable forms of payment include bank transfer or PayPal. Cash payments are accepted on the day of the event with prior notice.

Late Payment: The following late payment fees will be applied for payments received after the due date:

5% of the total fee: A common and moderate fee for a first-time late payment or minor delay.

10% of the total fee: A higher fee that can be applied for more significant delays, especially if the payment is more than a few days late.

4. Repertoire and Song Requests

Repertoire Selection: The pianist will provide a set list based on the type of event (classical, jazz, contemporary, etc.). If the client requests specific songs, they must be communicated at least 2 weeks before the event.

Song Requests: For custom requests, the pianist may require an additional fee, depending on the complexity or availability of the song. Requests made less than 1 week before the event may not be guaranteed.

Changes to Repertoire: Any changes to the repertoire must be communicated at least 1 week prior to the event.

5. Venue and Environment Policies

Venue Access and Parking: The client must provide clear access to the event venue, and parking must be arranged for the pianist. Any parking fees or special access needs should be communicated beforehand.

Accommodations and Travel: For events outside a certain radius 250 miles/kilometers, the client is responsible for covering travel expenses, including transportation, accommodation (if necessary), and meals.

Safety and Comfort: The pianist requires a safe environment to perform. The pianist should be provided with a comfortable seating arrangement and an appropriate space for performance.

6. Client Responsibilities

Event Schedule: The client should provide a detailed event schedule, including start time, end time, and any breaks in between. The pianist will arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins.

Special Requests: Any special requests, such as dress code or particular performance style, must be communicated in advance.

Food and Drink: The client is encouraged to provide meals and drinks for the pianist during long events. If this is not possible, the client must inform the pianist in advance.

7. Liability and Insurance

Liability: The pianist is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that occurs during the event. The client assumes full responsibility for the safety and well-being of the pianist and any equipment.

Insurance: It is recommended that the client provides event insurance, especially for large or outdoor events, to cover unexpected cancellations or damage.

8. Recording and Social Media Policies

Recording: If the event is being recorded (video or audio), prior written consent from the pianist is required. The pianist reserves the right to request a copy of the recording for personal use or promotional material.

Social Media Sharing: The client may share photos and videos of the event online, but crediting the pianist is appreciated. The pianist may use event photos or videos in promotional materials.

9. Special Considerations

Noise Level: For events in venues with sound restrictions, the pianist will adjust the volume accordingly to avoid disruption.

Unforeseen Circumstances: In case of an emergency (e.g., illness, family emergency), the pianist will attempt to provide a suitable replacement, but this cannot be guaranteed
